Reefgen is trying to promote carbon capture and aid our oceans' restoration by planting seagrass underwater, into the seabed.

Just like CCS carbon capture, these types of "necessary, good-for-all" projects don't give a revenue return and "must" be implemented.

A major peg of climate change management is to directly remove carbon from the atmosphere - machinery vacuuming the air, installation of carbon sinks (ie wetlands, forests or tech used by CarbonRun). Part of this is to help the ocean, which is the world's major carbon sink engine (and has been overwhelmed), regain its balance).

Someone has to create it. Someone has to pay for its installation and operation. It's results will be disputed / debated initially. But over time, when the needle moves, the entire globe will benefit.
